At Bamboo Sushi, we make every decision with the highest regard for this world and the people in it. From transparency in how we source our food, to reducing our carbon footprint, to enriching the communities that we live in.
Bamboo Sushi was founded in 2008 in Portland, Oregon and has since expanded to 9 stores across 4 states. We believe that we make conscious decisions everyday to work towards a sustainable future, through the food that we source to the way that we build our teams.
Why we're Green
We carry two certifications that validate the supply chain through which we receive our fish as being responsibly sources. These are the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC). We compost all food waste and recycle whenever possible. We work in partnership with 1% for the Planet, and are committed to giving 1% of our yearly sales to environment causes through monetary, in-kind and volunteer contributions. Our single-use packaging is made of composted and recycled materials, but that is an area that we are always looking to improve upon and find better alternatives for.
